Story
BismiLlah,
Salaams,
We pray this reaches you in the best of health and iman, amin.
As you may know, the on-going conflict in Syria has left desperate
families no choice but to risk their lives to flee war and persecution. Because of this they are significant need of food, water, clothing and medical supplies.
This humanitarian crisis is particularly acute at the Idomeni crossing
where around 12,000 people are stranded after Austria and the Balkan states imposed a cap on entries, triggering a rapidly-growing build up in Greece.
Furthermore, a UNHCR statement said, 'inconsistent policies in the continent, which faces its worst immigration crisis since the end of
World War 2 are causing unnecessary suffering and risk being at variance with EU and international law standards'.
Some brothers from Woking will be going to Greece to aid and support the Syrian refugees who are currently stranded there.
