I have undertaken several long distance swims in the Channel Islands. Sark to Jersey -Guernsey to Jersey being the most notable as i am the first man to successfully have swam these. I have tremendous respect for the sea as a result of these experiences and know only to well of the dangers of the local tidal waters and how easy it is to get into difficulty. Channel Islands Airsearch play a critical role in supporting safety and rescue at sea and I want to raise awareness and funds for this organisation. One never knows one day it could be you that needs their help.
