Hi I'm Nicola a grandmother to two little boys Harvey 5 and George 3. They were both born with congenital heart defects. Harvey has a condition called cctga ( means the pumping chambers are doing the opposite jobs) 

George last year spent months in hospital . He's experienced numerous open heart surgeries alongside other procedures. He has a pacemaker due to complete heart block, a trachestomy and he is fed 20 hours a day through a feeding pump directly into his tummy. At night he has to be connected to a ventilator as requires 24 hour care. 

Various charities have helped us over the years and we want to give each charity a little bit back. On this occasion I have chosen the above charity as they gave been invaluable to my family. 

They provided our boys with free wet suits to enable them to go swimming like their peers. 

Last year I went with my daughter and her family to the heartline caravan at a Haven  holiday site. Our holiday was fantastic and it gave her a break from the reality of caring for a disabled child. This caravan now needs replacing and all funds received will be put towards this. Many families over the years have taken their heart warrior to one of  caravans and it gives families  an amazing experience.  Heartline families support all families nationally too and have 24 hour support as well as an online forum.
