Story
Thanks for coming :)
It seems there are more and more humanitarian disasters occurring around the world nowadays and through our connection with Scouting we have been exposed to the fantastic work that ShelterBox does to provide vital aid to people who have lost their homes as a result.
Every year thousands of communities, often with no warning, lose their homes, their possessions and their livelihoods. Every day they are faced with a battle for survival.
This year our Scout Group has chosen to support ShelterBox and as part of this we will be entering 3 teams in the Wild West Challenge, a two day multi-activity challenge that will require us to carry a ShelterBox over a distance of around 67 miles in total. And of course we'll do this dressed as nuns if we hit our target!!
Our 3 teams will include 7 Explorer Scouts, aged 15-16, who have taken it upon themselves to give this challenge a go. Usually this event is restricted to over 18's due to the nature and scale of the challenge!
We know you get asked to support lots of worthy causes but it really does make a difference so if you could support us and ShelterBox with any donation that would be amazing. Thank you for listening.
