Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm attempting to swim the English Channel in 2016 and I'm raising money for the Stay Strong For Ows campaign.
I am not a swimmer and this attempt to swim the English Channel (solo attempt and not within a relay team) is well and truly a massive challenge for me - it is a fact that more people have climbed Mount Everest than have swum the English channel.
I have been training for 12 months and I have a further 12 months of training ahead of me. The swim is booked in for September 2016 but the specific date does depend on the weather/sea conditions.
I am raising money and raising awareness for the #StayStrongForOws campaign. Owen Williams is a Welsh International Rugby Player who suffered a significant injury to his spinal cord whilst playing for Cardiff Blues out in Singapore in June 2014.
All money raised for the Welsh Charitable Trust on this page will go directly to Owen Williams to assist him in his long road of recovery and rehabilitation from such a serious injury.
My twitter account is @onebigswim which I update regularly, my email address is gavin@onebigswim.co.uk and the website is www.onebigswim.co.uk.
