My story

This is my story (Jenny Wilson-Best).

I have MS and heard about REVIVE MS Support soon after being diagnosed. The doctors tell you that you have MS, there’s no cure and the drugs won’t help much. You’re left wondering how this is going to change your life. The life of your partner. Your work. Your hobbies. Your outlook. From being totally able bodied and able to climb mountains to somebody that finds it impossible to get to the local shop. Learning to to deal with spasms, pain and chronic fatigue.

And so I came to REVIVE. I was immediately offered help and support both physically and emotionally with therapy, counseling and kindness and always with a warm smile. I have listened but I have also been heard. They helped me with every aspect of this new life that my husband and I have had to come to terms with. They help so many people during the many stages of MS and always with positive care and understanding.

I have been an opera singer for 30 years and would like this concert to be a way of saying thank you to REVIVE MS Support. It is with their aid that, though in a wheelchair, I am able to find a path upon which I can now walk.
