Story
Hello! We are completing the gruelling Bear Grylls survival race on September 24th at 10:30am.
Although the race is only 5k it contains some of the TOUGHEST and MOST CHALLENGING obstacles known to man (or woman in our case!), so challenging infact, we have had to sign a death waiver! (sorry Mum).
Our aim is to raise money for a specialist piece of rehabilitation equipment for the Orthopaedic ward at Leighton Hospital. The ward is full of breaks and strains and this walking aid will really help to get our patients up and walking as quickly as possible.
The walking aid - the Sara Steady, would be an invaluable piece of equipment to us and our patients, however, if we raise more than our target, we would love to be able to purchase some specialised seating for our more vuberable patients.
We will be completing the race in full hospital scrubs to show our commitment to the ward, the patients and the staff!
Wish us luck!
