On the 3rd April 2016 I have crazily decided to run the Taunton half marathon in aid of Get Home Safe, a charity close to my heart. 

Get Home Safe is a small local charity with a big message. 

The charity was set up in memory of Ross Paterson who died after being hit by a taxi when walking home from a night out. Seeing the distress and devastation Ross' family were going through, I quickly became a trustee of this worthwhile charity. 

The charity's message is simple. Stay together stay safe. Don't let a fun night out turn in to your parents worst nightmare. 

By running the half marathon I will be raising money to help fund our awareness campaign, working with doormen, taxi companies and holding educational workshops with young adults to help them realise the dangers of walking home after a night out.
