Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Paul Doyle and I am attempting to complete the National Three Peak challenge in order to raise money for The Great North Childrens Hospital. This involves walking the three highest mountains in Scotland, England, and Wales in 24 hours.

Emma Cross was recently diagnosed with a rare and devastating type of epilepsy called Migrating Partial Epilepsy in Infancy MPEI. Emma can have between 10 and 100 seizures a day. It is unlikely that any anti-epileptic medication will ever control her seizures and her prognosis is very poor. Most children with this condition show very little developmental progress and her life expectancy is short. Her doctor has anticipated this will be 4 to 6 years only. Emma can only feed through a tube and vomits alot. She no longer smiles.

I have chose to support The Childrens Foundation  Great North Childrens Hospital appeal. They have provided excellent care for Emma and will continue to do so in the future.
