Story
After lots of walking, driving, will power and not much sleep, team PEM has successfully completed the Three Peaks Challenge.
A huge thank you to all of those that have sponsored us so far, helping raise such an amazing amount of money for a great cause.
On Friday 10th June 2016, 36 staff from PEM will push themselves to the very limit by completing the Three Peaks Challenge, which involves climbing the three highest peaks in England, Wales and Scotland, in 24 hours - a true test of physical and mental endurance and a challenge that is clearly not for the faint-hearted.
The challenge starts in Scotland at Ben Nevis, which at 1,344m is the tallest of the three mountains. From there we will drive south into the Lake District 'ready' to climb Scafell Pike (978m). Last but by no means least we travel to Snowdon in Wales where the final climb of 1,085m awaits us.
Over the course of this challenge each person will walk 25miles, climb 10,000ft and travel over 450miles raising as much money for The Sick Children's Trust who provide home from home accommodation, as well as emotional and practical support to families with sick children in hospital. The money we raise will specifically support the Cambridge Fundraising Committee who support Acorn House and Chestnut House at Addenbrookes Hospital.
Thank you for your donation.
