When Gill was diagnosed, she was referred to the Sara Lee Trust by the Macmillan nurse on her multi-disciplinary medical team at The Conquest hospital. Gill subsequently received help from a Sara Lee volunteer counsellor at the Sara Lee facility located within St Michael's Hospice at St Leonards-on-Sea. Gill was also offered access to other Sara Lee complementary therapies, including aromatherapy and reflexology, to support her well-being during a difficult journey. Other members of the family have also benefitted from the support of the Sara Lee Trust as they have come to terms with their life-changing loss. 

Sara Lee's story and the background to the setting up of the Trust is touching. This small local charity is completely reliant on fundraising and public support to raise the much needed funds that it needs each year to continue to provide its highly valued services.
