Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In October, I will be volunteering along with a group of girls from Tunbridge Wells Girls Grammar School, at a Ghanaian school that the charity has built. We will be teaching classes, helping pupils and learning about the Ghanaian culture.
The Ghana Education Project is a small but very effective charity that has built and since 2013, run a secondary school for girls that will, at capacity, educate 500 girls to the age of 17. This will make a huge difference in an area where female illiteracy currently runs at 77%. The charity has no administrative expenses and all expenditure is controlled by the charity's founder, Gill Norris MBE, who lives in Nkwanta running the project. So you can be sure that all of your donation will be spent supporting the education of girls in this remote and deprived area of Ghana. The charity's next challenge is to build four additional classrooms to accommodate the girls as they move up through the school.
