Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
We are taking part in a project to look at how women are unfairly portraid in the media. Women should be celebrated, whichever size, shape or ethnicity. We are all mothers, sisters, a wives or daughters and we deserve to not be portrayed as sexual objects or as what the media tell us is 'beautiful'.
We come with stretch marks, scars, wobbly bits, bits we like and bits we don't.
We shall be taking part in a photoshoot with a difference. Each women will strip down to their birthday suit (without showing too much!) but to embrace the fact they are confortable in their own skin and that they are happy being themselves. Lets make women feel beautiful and confident again
We look forward to working iwth Asha Nepal, a charity & Country we feel at this time could do with a little more help and love sent their way.
They are a small charity run on a totally voluntary basis in the UK by a small team of trustees with a deep personal commitment to transforming the lives of exploited, abused and endangered women and children in Nepal. In Nepal, we have a dedicated, salaried team of staff.
Among the many issues affecting women and children in Nepal:
Physical and sexual abuse both within and outside the family home
Violations of Women’s and children’s rights, including child labour and caste and gender discrimination.
