Story
We are embarking on a massive challenge in early 2012 to raise funds for a fantastic local charity. Trekking in the Sahara Desert is going to be a huge challenge as neither of the team have ever done anything like it before - 5 days for about 6 or 7 hours a day walking acrosss the sand in that heat - but WE WILL do it!
The reason we are putting ourselves through this is because we want to raise money for The Rainbow Centre. Rainbow is a wonderful charity that supports children with Cerebral Palsy and adults with MS and Parkinson’s disease and those recovering from a stroke. The aim is to help the children and adults to fulfil their potential and meet the challenges in life that most of us overcome without a thought. The Rainbow Centre changes the lives of children, for example, Hannah who has learnt to walk independently thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Rainbow team.
Having visited the Centre and seen the fantastic work they do, we are determined to raise as much as we can for them!!
Please help us to reach the target - we and everyone at Rainbow are truly grateful for any support you can offer no matter how small as every little helps! It costs £45,000 a month to run the Centre and they receive virtually no statutory funding so your donation really will make a difference.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
