Story
Well we all made it to Brighton doing the full 54 miles there and had a great time along the way with only one brief stop for a sandwich and a small(ish) beer.
No sooner had we crossed the finishing line to the cheering crowds in Brighton, and taken a couple of hasty photos, Danny (now known as SuperDanny) turned around and cycled straight back to London, cape and all, in just under 3 hrs and 10 minutes!
Ollie, Charlie, Paul and Richard stayed in Brighton overnight for a few celebratory drinks and a well earned meal and the following morning Paul, Charlie and Richard set off for the return journey to London not really knowing where we were going but determined nonetheless. The first 25 miles were mostly along the A23 in the pouring rain with lorries thundering past within a few inches every 30 seconds.
Soaked through we decided to abandon lunch and press on to London which we did arriving home in a very respectable 3hrs 35 mins where we quickly proceeded towards another celebratory meal and a drink or two!
Along the way several people, seeing our cause and inspired by our efforts, generously pressed notes into our hands motivating us further and reaffirming how many people are touched by prostate cancer and why it is such a worthwhile cause. On this note we would like to say a big thank you to all those that have been so very generous in sponsoring us to date - photos and thank you's will be coming your way from your team representative soon.
We are still aiming to reach our fundraising target so if you haven't sponsored us yet it is not too late! Any donations gratefully received!!
