In the name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful
Alhamdullilah, by the grace of Allah (swt), we have been blessed to witness and reach another Holy month of Ramadhan; a month of mercy and charity.
With Ramadhan upon us, let’s remember the struggles of others and help those in need.
In countries where war, famine and poverty are part of everyday life, millions of children are orphaned and left to struggle for survival. Over the last decade alone, armed conflict has left six million children wounded or disabled for life and, the number of orphans is growing exponentially every week. No father to feed them, no mother to wipe their tears, no roof
over their head.
With the recent wave of terrorist attacks in Iraq and the ongoing crisis in Syria, the number of widows and orphans is continually growing. Most orphaned families live in conditions of miserable poverty and deprivation on every essential level. Disease, ignorance or simply their abject poverty prevents them from seeking assistance.
Your generosity will help support vulnerable children through the provision of food, clothing, education and medicine. Help make a difference! You can donate $1, $5, $10, etc.; the amount doesn’t matter, your intention does. ‘Do not feel ashamed if the amount of charity is small because to refuse the needy is an act of greater shame.’- Imam Ali (as).
There are too many orphans in this world who carry pain in their tender hearts and, unfortunately, we tend to forget their interests in the middle of ours. May your support bring light to those broken hearts in this year’s season of charity and may Allah (swt) reward you abundantly for your noble deed.
Salams & Duas,
Musarrat
