Story
I'm taking on the Packetts Tour De Dales Charity Bike Challenge to help raise money for Bradford children's charity One In A Million. (www.oneinamillion.org.uk).
It costs One In A Million £780 per year to provide support to a child living in a disadvantaged community of Bradford. I am trying to raise enough money to support at least one child.
The Tour De Dales Charity Bike Ride is two day a Sportive style cycle challenge. The route is from Saltaire (home of Packetts) to Masham and back to Valley Parade (home of One In A Million), riding between 70 - 100 miles each day! The route takes in some of the scenery ridden in the Tour de France Grand Depart and includes some classic and grueling climbs!
I am helping celebrate Packetts 95th year in business by giving back to the city of Bradford. Therefore every penny raised during this challenge will help children & young people living in disadvantaged communities of Bradford through the work of our chosen charity One In A Million.
One in a Million provides weekly sports, arts, education & enterprise programs to children & young people from disadvantaged areas in Bradford. They work in parts of Bradford that fall into the top 1% of national deprivation. One In A Million wants to help reverse the negative statistics which hover over young peoples lives so that they can thrive socially, educationally and in their well being.
I am asking you to help me raise as much money as possible to support a child through the work of One In A Million.
Every penny raised is greatly appreciated, Thank You for your kind support!
