Story

Our beautiful friend Becky sadly passed away at the end of last year in tragic circumstances. Her dream was to go out and save the world, she wanted to go to Africa to help those less fortunate than herself. She studied Human Rights, and regularly donated to Amnesty International.

Becky was one of the most selfless people we had ever known. She would do anything to make anyone happy, and she lived her life believing that helping and loving others was the most important thing in the world. She was someone who made every situation fun. She was able to find the good in everything and everyone, and that's why we loved her so much. She was such a caring, kind and wonderful person, and it's because of this that we want to do everything that we can to honour her memory.

One of her final wishes was to make sure that by the time she reached 25 she'd have made a difference. We want to make sure that her wish is granted.

We have chosen to run the Winter Wolf Run as it's in touch with nature, and it has the theme of friendship. Becky was someone who wanted nothing more than for all of her friends to be close by and to love each other, and we wanted to take part in an event which symbolised the amazing friendship she gave each of us.

Amnesty International's primary aim is to ensure that everyone in the world has the human rights they deserve. They help to fight a wide variety of human rights issues, such as the death penalty, torture, a lack of freedom of expression, and armed conflicts. They also help to save men and women from sexual exploitation and oppression, help to release those imprisoned for merely having an opinion, and fight to remove exploitation of trafficked workers worldwide.

So please help us make Becky's dream come true. We love and miss her, and we want to honour the best friend any of us has ever had.
