We support amputees, their carers & families to achieve rehabilitation and independence

Story

In November 2013 I suffered life changing injuries following a traffic accident, the next 20 months I underwent 13 operations to try and save my leg.  Unfortunately in July 2015 I had Operation number 14 to remove my leg through the knee, and a further 2 more operations due to an infection in my stump.  Since then I have had to learn to walk all over again, pick myself up countless times and endure far to many legless jokes that I have lost count.  I count myself as one of the "lucky ones", I have received fantastic rehab through the NHS (thank you Clare Singh) but I have also been fortunate enough to be in a position where Private Rehab is available too.  To many people aren't as lucky as me and that is where The Limbless Association help, This is my little way of trying to put a positive spin on the unfortunate accident I suffered, and to prove to other Amputees that you can still reach your goals and dreams, they might just take you a different way in order to achieve them.
