So, I was invited to a Charity organised by Save the Mothers Trust this Ramadhan 2014, in aid of supporting Widows Globally, (Africa, Turkey;Syria Border, Gaza-Palestine, NWF-Pakistan). I was skeptical about going to any charity event as I always questioned whether my donation would actually reach the needy or would a fraction of it be taken to cover the costs of the event. Anyway I decided to finally go and check out what charity events are all about. when I reached the venue it was an amazing atmosphere. All these people gathering for the same cause and for something that is so close to everyone's heart; Helping the needy.

The host began to request for pledges and started off with 10k. She only requested for just 3 people to come forward and pledge. I thought "wow, how I would love to be one of those" and the next thing I know I have already raised my hand and said "I pledge to raise 10k!" Omg what have I let myself into? This is impossible right?! I bet even you reading this thing im crackers. What made me do it? That little voice inside us that we all talk to (Yes i know you do it too) reassured me that nothing is impossible if you have the right intentions and a sincere heart. So here I am appealing for your help. 

You can give as little as just £1 and encourage everyone to step forward and contribute towards this pledge. No one chooses to be a widow. Lets show these wonderful women that we do care and they are not alone. Lets unite and show that Humanity still exists and Widows have a place in society just like you and me :)

The Widows Project was derived to support widows and allow them to become self sustaining by providing them with the means and knowledge to Harvest their own Crops and earn a living to support themselves and their families.
