Story

Thanks to everyone who's donated, you've been so generous and I know all the money will go directly to an amazing place.

To continue the fundraising Tracy, Dave, Alison, Simon, Stu, Linda, Lisa, Katie & Louisa will be abseiling off the roof of Manchester United football stadium on the 22nd March 2014.  Please support our continued efforts to raise money for Francis House who continue to offer our family support.

It is great sadness that Sally passed away on the 1st May 2012 after a very sudden illness aged 12. She lived life to the full right up until the end. Her various medical issues were of no concern to Sally and she pushed them aside so she could lead a very full and active life. Only last month she paddling in the cold sea (her choice!) and catching hail stones from our caravan window before wondering around pubs tasting guinness and eating garlic bread (even though she wasn't suppossed to eat!)

We are all very upset but celebrating the exciting life she led, her unstoppable zest for life, her laughter, her squeeling, racing on her bike trailer downhill and shouting in delight, very very tight hugs, her boys at school, her cuddles, her fights doing her hair, her forcing you to sing 'wind the bobbin up', dragging you to the front door at 6am to go out, tipping up toyboxes, noisy toys, banging drums, squeezing her brother, legs across your knee when you sat down, pinching food from others, loving cakes and especially the brightness and inspiration she gave others. Someone summed up Sally ' You think I can't but I CAN and I WILL'

She went peacefully with her parents by her side in hospital but didn't have any pain. There will be a celebration of Sally's life on May 16th 2012 at 1:45 at Stockport Crematorium followed by a venue (tbc). We would like everyone who's life was touched by Sally to come and join us and share happy memories. This is to all friends, families, nurses, carers and schools.

Sally has had an amazing impact on the world and this has been shown in the overwhelming support we have had since her death, so far over 168 people have been in touch!

She will be missed and will leave a very big and bright gap in all our lives but remain in our hearts.

We are asking people not to buy flowers for the funeral but to make a donation to Francis House. Francis House have supported our family for the past eight years and have been there in both our lows and highs. They have even notched the bar higher this week by providing practical help, allowing us to see our daughter, allowing us to kiss her good night and providing emotional support. Francis House is a charity and relies on donors to keep it running and helping children like Sally
