As some of you already know I am travelling to India in June 2014 with 7 other volunteers and two experienced leaders. India is a land of profound economic contradictions. Poverty is highly prevalent and it is estimated that around one third of the country's population live below the poverty line. I am fundraising to financially support SERVE's four partners within Bangalore. These include a HIV/AIDS and leprosy project, a slum educational project, a project assisting the disabled, a homeless project, orphanage project and mental health programme. These projects reach the most vulnerable and offer assistance to the weakest and poorest members of society.
