Story
The Leonard Stocks Centre in Factory Row, Torquay houses 24 vulnerable men and women. In 2014 it was facing closure because of cuts in council funding but a high profile campaign led by the Friends has seen some money restored – sufficient to keep the doors open.
But essential outreach work to rough sleepers - those who cannot access the hostel for a range of reasons - is not being funded and the Friends have launched an appeal to finance this life-saving intervention over the next three years. Our target is £60,000. All monies raised will go towards this (including the money previously donated to help keep the hostel open).
We will also support activities in the hostel through volunteering and donations and maintaining a warm, loving environment from which people can rebuild their lives.
Please support our appeal today - thank you.
