Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page for the St Chad's Trust.

The St Chad's Trust was set up as our diocesan Millennium Project by the Bishop of Lichfield and the Dean of Lichfield Cathedral.  St Chad's Trust supports young people and receiving churches, in this country and overseas, through the St Chad's Volunteer Programme.

The St Chad's Volunteer Programme aims to offer challenge to young people who are ready for a faith-stretching opportunity: to leave their home 'comfort zone', be challenged by a different culture, and see God at work.  It sends young people aged 18-35 from churches in the Lichfield diocesan area to work as volunteers in churches overseas and receives young people from Lichfield's overseas companions to work in churches in Shropshire, Staffordshire and the West Midlands.

St Chad's volunteers may work with children... and young people... those with disabilities... help in outreach projects amongst stateless migrants... share in lively worship... see 'church' as they have never known it before... enjoy new experiences and travel.
