Story
Peter was one of four children to Alice and William from Doncaster. He was raised with his brother John and sisters Margaret and Mary. Margaret being the youngest and had Down's syndrome. Peter helped raise Margaret often taking her out to play. This being why Down's syndrome holds a special place in his heart.
Peter was deployed in the services and done his national service with honour and pride He met and married his true love Sylvia Day and settled locally in Marlborough, Wiltshire. He became a devoted family man, helping to raise Sylvia's 6 children. Peter was a grandad to 10 children and a great grandfather to 11 children.
Peter was a quiet private gentleman, a loving husband, Dad, Grandad and Great Grandfather and will be sadly missed. Forever in our hearts and never forgotten and much love from all who had the privilege of knowing this true gentleman. Sleep tight rest in peace xxx
SDSG - Remember a life - Change a Life
A donation to the Swindon Down's Syndrome Group in memory of a loved one will provide a genuinely lasting tribute as well as bring great comfort in knowing that your support is helping to change someone's life.
A £20 donation would pay for a week's Speech and Language Therapy for 1 child/adult with Down's Syndrome. One of the greatest barriers for children/adults with Down's Syndrome in accessing their local community is a difficulty with Speech and Language.
