In memory of Alex Miller
We provide a campaign and helpline to help prevent male suicide in the UK.

Story

In December 2012 our friend and team mate Alex Miller tragically died. In his passing we are now without our greatest competitor and most enthusiastic player as well as a great friend to many. We've teamed up with CALM to create a legacy for Alex that promotes the work of the charity to prevent further instances of suicide as well as promoting wellbeing in cricket.

Moving forwards Opening Up cricket has been set up, a project which promotes mental wellbeing and suicide prevention through cricket. Check out details of their work here www.openingupcricket.com

Fundraising so far has included;

X3 Alex Miller 6-a-side tournaments (2014, 2015, 2016)

X1 Wine Tasting night @ Espresso Plus (2015)

An Alex Miller memorial game, including e-raffle (2013)

X3 Liverpool Half Marathon runs (2013, 2014, 2015)

About the charity

CALM, the campaign against living miserably, offers men support and information when they’re down or in crisis at www.thecalmzone.net. We exist to prevent suicide, the single biggest killer of men aged under 45 in the UK. Latest figures show that 76% of all UK suicides were male.
