The man you see in the picture is Geoff. He has very kindly (or stupidly) agreed to shave his beard off if we can raise £200 ...raise even more and he said he may go further - I think we should definitely try & push this! ...so, if you've ever wondered what Chewbacca would look like without his hair - dig deep & lets make this happen! (he's tall, has a lot of facial hair & likes Star Wars ...it works)

So why is he doing this you ask? ..It's all for Butterflies - a charity based in Lincoln & North Hykeham. It is a safe & friendly place for any woman, whether she is vulnerable or disadvantaged, going through tough times or just simply needs a break!

The vision for Butterflies is to reach women throughout Lincolnshire by providing a safe environment to help them make friends through chatting, pampering and crafts and activities to gain a sense of achievement & purpose.

Every Wednesday night & Thursday morning, the ladies are treated to tea, coffee & sweet treats, then indulged with facials, massages, manicures etc. or given the tools to create a mini masterpiece through various craft activities ...they can of course just sit & chat with the friendly volunteers if they prefer - but it is all provided completely free with no direct funding so every penny you donate is vital to keep this fantastic service going.
