Story

Mental health, depression and anxiety...it's so under the radar and yet it's something that so many of us go through whether that be on a small scale or a big scale. We live in a broken world and times can be tough and when were down we can go much further down before we get back up again. Mental health can be a very serious long term battle but through God's love anything is possible and its through God's love that I am compelled to continue supporting this issue. As brothers and sisters we need to be there for each other: John 4:19- We love because he first loved us.

Mental health issues can stem from a very young age. The experiences a child has at the early development stages of their lives really does matter to their development as adults and as a consequence life as adults. I am a proud Filipino and ever since I have been coming to the Philippines, the Filipino children have continued to capture my heart with their cheeky big smiles and cool and fun swagger. It breaks my heart to see the children growing up in such difficult living conditions and I worry for their psychological and physical future development.

I chose Tens foundations because they're a group that really care about the Filipino children's psychological and physical welfare. They want to provide as much support as they can to homeless and vulnerable children in the Philippines and continue to build orphanages that provide a safe, caring and loving environment for children to be nurtured and grown in.

Here's a link to their page for more info: http://www.tenfoundations.org/povertys-hard-cycle/

So let's make this happen and say good bye to my beloved rat tail of five and half years because those kids are so so worth it.

My favourite relative Bible verses and Quotes:

Luke 10:25-37

25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? 27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. 28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. 29 But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? 30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. 31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. 33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, 34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. 36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? 37 And he said, He that showed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

Phillippians 4:8

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
