Story
Dear Family and Friends, Assalam-o-Alaikum
We all believe that under-privileged children deserve a better chance at life. We all feel the pain when we see children roaming around on streets as they don't have parents, homes, or money to attend schools. We won't even like to imagine the same future for our own children.
Iqra, the first word revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), should be the cornerstone of our lives. Raising an educated generation is a duty of all of us and we must play OUR part, rather than merely bad mouthing our politicians. Let us do our job first.
For those unsure about the financial impact of committing to a great charitable cause:
Abu Hurairah (r.a.) reported Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w.s.) as saying: “Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people).” (Muslim Vol. 4, Hadith 6264)
So everything important which we believe we are giving away from our wealth, or from our respect and pride, we are actually getting it back from Allah manifold. Is there a better trade off? The quran states:
“The likeness of those who spend for Allah’s sake is as the likeness of a grain of corn, it grows seven ears every single ear has a hundred grains, and Allah multiplies (increases the reward of) for whom He wills, and Allah is sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower).” (Qur’an, 2:261)
So 700 times is the minimum reward if we were to take these words literally. In reality, we can't even begin to comprehend Allah's blessings promised in life here and hereafter.
£10K is nothing once we put our faith in the Creator and Master of all treasures that exist. Let's all get together and make it happen. Insha Allah.
I sincerely pray that may Allah swt make this a Sadaqa-e-Jaariya for you and everyone involved in this noble cause, and make it a reason for you and your loved ones to enter Jannah, insha Allah.
JazakAllah Khairun.
Wassalam,
Shehryar
