Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 13th May Paul, along with three team mates, will leave St Andrew's in Scotland to cycle the 500 miles to St Andrew's Club in Westminster in 5 days - a marathon challenge for four amateur cyclists.
Born on the day St Andrew’s Club opened in new premises following destruction in WW2, the Club has always been part of Paul Whittle’s life. A member since childhood, Paul has been general manager of the Club for 28 years. A father of six and grandfather of one, Paul has had to keep in good physical fitness to look after his own children and his extended family of St Andrew’s members (many thousand have come through the doors during Paul’s tenure as manager). Paul has been a football coach for the duration of his career at St Andrew’s; he is much more comfortable on the pitch than on a bike and this journey will be a real challenge for him. He had hoped that his first visit to St Andrew’s Scotland would be to the golf course rather than on a bicycle but is looking forward to the adventure and hopes to raise lots of valuable funds for the Club.
