Story

Trossachs Search & Rescue Dog Team is STEP's chosen Charity of the Year. The team provides an experienced, highly trained and equipped 24/7 Search and Rescue Dog team and have located over 20 missing people sometimes in life saving situations. STEP is supporting them to raise funds for a much needed 4x4 team vehicle.

The team consists of 37 volunteers, three search dogs and two trainee search dogs. The team play a vital role in search and rescue operations across Scotland and beyond. Past searches include: The Clutha Pub in Glasgow, Stockline factory collapse Glasgow & various searches for missing people, including fishermen and murder victims. The new vehicle will ensure that the team can continue to provide a lifeline to communities.

100% of funds raised will be given to the team and will go towards the purchase of a new vehicle which has an estimated purchase price of £18,000.
