Story
We are raising money for Myton Hospice in memory of Steve Orchard, who passed away there on May 3rd 2016.
Myton Hospice have been an incredible source of support during the last few weeks of Steve's life and we would have been lost without them. He was diagnosed with esophogeal cancer in September 2015, and after a cautiously positive prognosis, it was found to be terminal in February 2016. The aggressive nature of his cancer has meant that we had little time to gather our thoughts before it became unmanageable at home.
After a short stint in hospital, he was admitted into Myton, and it was a huge relief to know that he was surrounded by nurses and doctors who genuinely cared. They have made a massive difference during this difficult time, and we will not soon forget what they have done for him. In true Steve-style, he certainly gave them a run for their money at times, but they were never fazed!
Myton are a charity, and rely heavily on donations to provide the extra time and thought for the terminally ill, support that they can't receive at a hospital. Please donate whatever you can as a way to remember Steve, and so they can so that they can continue their great work. We have set a target of £1000 but hope to raise more, and are committed to match whatever is raised ourselves.
Love,
Gail, Louisa and Christa
