Story
Back in February, a group of friends from University entered the Bristol 10k, as a fun way to get together for a weekend.
With less than 2 weeks to go, one of our group fell while climbing in the Wye Valley, suffering life-threatening injuries. After a technical rescue from an inaccessible location, he was airlifted to Cardiff hospital for emergency treatment. There is no doubt that the air ambulance saved his life.
As you can imagine, running a mobile hospital in a helicopter, with state-of-the-art equipment and highly trained personnel is not cheap, and the air ambulance relies entirely on charitable donations to continue operating.
