Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I have this set up as a joint personal and business fundraising page to maximise the potential fundraising. 

I’m competing in IRONMAN UK on the 20^th July.

Ironman is an ultra-distance triathlon consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, followed by a 112 mile bike ride, followed by a full marathon (26.2 mile run) in that order and without a break and a maximum of 17 hours allowable to complete. The Ironman event takes place annually in around 40 countries across the world and the English location is my home town of Bolton.

Whilst I am undertaking this as a personal challenge and not specifically as a charity fundraiser I have been asked by many about sponsorship and it seems to be a wasted opportunity to do some good and raise some much needed cash for a local charity that we have chosen to represent - Wipe Your Tears.

The Wipe Your Tears children’s charity was started in 2004 and is based in the North West.

The charity is committed to raising funds for end of life wishes to brighten the lives of terminally ill children, offer support to young children who have to endure unpleasant treatment or long stays in hospital and help young children who suffer abuse whereby there is no other outlet at present for them to approach.

Nothing breaks the heart like watching a child suffer but nothing warms the heart more than the laughter of a happy child!
