Story

Oil and Gas People is supporting the RNLI this Christmas with our 2014 charity calendar, featuring stunning oil industry images voted for by our site users. 10,000 Calendars will be distributed for free to oil companies in the UK. If you have received a free Calendar and would like to show your support please leave a donation.

Oil and Gas People originally set up this Just Giving page to show support for the RNLI following the Sumburgh Helicopter ditching on the 23rd of August 2013. Despite unfavourable conditions the lifeboats of Lerwick and Aith both launched to bring 14 of our colleagues home safely.

The RNLI rely 100% of donations so we felt this was a good way for the industry to say thanks and show some support for the families of those lost.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
