Story
Whitney and Suzanne, are both avid hikers and keen to take on the challenge of Snowdon. We are joining a sponsored twilight walk to the summit at a height of over 3,500 feet on Saturday 16th July. We are asking you to support us in the Walk for Waste, a very worthy cause organised by LARAC’s Sally Talbot in support of Waste Aid UK.
By day working with Environment Media Group, managing their finance department gives a great insight into the world of waste management. The company and team whenever possible strive to help and contribute to charity and worthy causes. We love the outdoors and are looking forward to supporting Waste Aid, a charity set up by waste management professionals to deliver practical and low-cost waste services in developing countries. Billions of people lack rubbish collection and disposal services, causing a global health crisis, these are services that most of us take for granted.
Waste Aid partner with local organisations to improve the health, environment and livelihoods of people without waste services. They focus on building the skills of local people to deliver practical solutions to the waste crisis in their own communities. WasteAid UK has already delivered lasting change in Africa and is raising money to fund more waste-wise initiatives around the globe. For more information please
view their web site on www.wasteaid.org.uk.
We hope that you will support us in this walk.
