Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are deeply saddened to have said goodbye today to our very beloved mother, and wife to our Dad Barry, Sylvia Dawn Fuller: 22 August 1945 - 21 November 2015.

Mum taught us to be kind from a young age, telling us: "We are all God's creatures. Everything has as much right to life as you do."  She also taught us to speak for those that have no voice, and to give away whatever you have to someone that needs it more.

Nothing died in our home. Even spiders - although she was scared of them - were safely escorted from the premises using the time honoured glass and cardboard trick.

Before retirement, Mum enjoyed her job as a cleaner at Southend Hospital. Although this provided a modest income, she gave generously to an array of animal welfare charities. (A look though her post shows correspondence from dozens of organisations.)

A typical story of how Mum was with her animals: Dad drove her to my vets to collect some pills for my cat Sidney. Dad saw her walk in the vets with just her purse, and walk out with the tablets...and two kittens who needed a home. (Dean & Jessica - who grew into two black panthers.) We have numerous stories: mice rescued from drains, injured hedgehogs and birds saved, cats taken in from the street.

Mum always said cows were her favourite animals. So she was delighted to sponsor Blossom and Amber at Remus. Because she loved her animals, and loved Remus Sanctuary (which she could visit with the family Boxer, Taya), we are asking that - instead of sending flowers or cards - people help us remember Mum by donating to a cause that she loved and that bought her joy.

Thank you. And thank you to everyone who has supported us during difficult times.

Love Sherry, Lynne & Barry Fuller xxx
