We are a Day Hospice provide other services to help people with life-limiting illnesses

Story

In November last year, our friend and colleague, Simon Ward, was diagnosed with cancer. In January, Simon was told that his cancer is terminal. Simon passed away on 5th April and is now at peace.

Everyone in the Core family has been shocked and saddened by the apparently-sudden onset of Simon’s illness and his passing. That Simon was, prior to this, one of the fittest and healthiest people we know, underlines the sad fact that cancer does not discriminate.

In 2016 our fundraising will support Primrose Hospice, a hospice that, in addition to providing care for patients with life-limiting illnesses, also provides vital support for their families, including Simon’s. Specifically we will be raising funds to protect the Macmillan Children’s Support Worker post at Primrose – a service which is under threat due to funding cuts.

Our main fundraising event is the 3 Peaks challenge, during the last week of July.

We will also be directly supporting Simon's wife Kerrie, and their young family with a benefit event on Saturday 27th August - more information to follow.

THANK YOU FROM ALL OF THE CORE TEAM FOR YOUR SUPPORT
