Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
In May 2016, a team from S&G Response along with Andy Crinson, General Manager of AMT Vehicle Rental (www.amtvehiclerental.com), will be undertaking the gruelling challenge of the London to Paris bike ride to raise much needed funds for the charity UK Youth (www.ukyouth.org).
This challenge which seems entrants cycling 520 km (360 miles) over a three day period is a test for the most experienced cycling enthusiasts so for our team it represents a Herculean challenge! Joining Andy will be Nick Stone, Finance Director; Jim Toole, Head of Corporate Sales; Chris Gibson, Fleet Account Manager; and Sean Harper, Network Repair Manager representing the widest possible range of cycling experience within the business.

Er… let’s just say he’s on a pretty intensive training programme….
Their route will see them travel from London to Calais, Calais to Amiens, before the final stretch from Amiens to Paris. Along with the Tour de France, this is the only event where the roads in Paris are closed as a mark of recognition of the fund raising efforts of the participants. The Daily Telegraph listed the L2P as one of the world's top 25 mass participation events, alongside the New York and London marathons. It also named L2P as one of the top 10 adventure events for women and gave it a top 10 place in international endurance events.
The event is also televised on EuroSport so you can tune in and see how the team are doing along the way.
The team are looking to raise £15,000 for UK Youth. UK Youth is a charity which benefits children from under-privileged backgrounds where unemployment rates between 16 and 25 year olds are typically three times higher than in the rest of the population. S&G has a strong reputation for promoting development in young people with an established formal apprenticeship scheme which has seen nearly a dozen young school leavers trained and developed into highly respected and valued team players.
