Story

Having broken the world record in Hallin Marine for the ultimate prize in Ocean Rowing, The East to West Transatlantic Route, in February 2011 – Team Hallin are now planning to break another coveted world record:

The Round GB Route 2013

Team Hallin will be part of the Anglo American Boat Race GB Row 2013 and on 1st June 2013, Hallin Marine II will set off from Tower Bridge in London in an attempt to break the world record for this route – just under 27 days to row completely around the coastline of Great Britain.

The record was set by an Army team of four men in 2005 who took 26 days 21 hours and 14 minutes to complete the 2,000 NM course. More people have walked on the Moon than have rowed non-stop around GB and the crew of Hallin Marine II hope to add four more names to this special list of rowers.

In recognition of their efforts they ask if you can donate generously to their official charity, Combat Stress.

A lack of specialist mental health provision for those who’ve witnessed traumatic events while serving their country means that too many veterans are left battling severe mental illness and behavioural problems alone. Combat Stress is the UK's leading military charity specialising in the care of Veterans' mental health.
