Story

On  27/01/2013 our life as parents began with the birth of our gorgeous boy Freddie Peter Wood. He turned our lives upside down in the best way possible and 18 months later we couldn't wait to try adding to our family. I got pregnant almost straight away but at just short of 12 weeks pregnant I miscarried. Our lives were shattered with a pain I never thought possible. The next 18 months got harder with 3 more very early miscarriages and one at 10 weeks.

In November I fell pregnant again and after a couple of early reassurance scans we thought everything would be great. On 20/01/2016 our lives were turned upside down again, this time in the very worst way possible, when our 13 week scan revealed our baby had a rare and fatal neural tube defect which meant he had zero chance of survival outside the womb. We were heartbroken. On 01/02/2016 we met our little man (named Teddy Sam Wood because he looked just like a teddy bear at our 10 week scan!) and the grief process started again. We were told about the Honeysuckle team at the Women's who offer invaluable help and support to grieving parents. After an afternoon at the Women's held by this team when I was given a wonderful memory box for my bits and bobs of Teddy's and was treated so gently and empathetically by the ladies, I was inspired to raise money for them.

The event is on 31st July at The Marriott Liverpool and will be hosted by Linda Nolan. A number of west end actors will be performing and there will be face painting, childrens entertainment, raffles, auctions etc and so much more!! For tickets to the event please contact me, Linzi Matthews, on linzimatthews1975@gmail.com but for those who can't make the event but would like to donate, please do so here!

Thanks so much!!!
