Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page and find out why we are raising money for Dingley's Promise.
First of all we would like to say that the most important part of our day will be to celebrate our wedding with our friends and family: your presence is far more important than your presents (!) so please do not feel in any way obliged to contribute to this page.
For those of you who would like to give us a gift, we hope that you will consider this special way of sharing the joy of our wedding day with others oustide of our immediate family and friends.
Dingley's Promise have 3 childrens centres in Berkshire, which help to provide care and support for children with additional needs aged 0-5 years old. Helen visited their centre in Wokingham last year as part of a community project with her employer, and helped to paint the sensory garden that they have there. She was incredibly impressed with the staff and facilities during her visit and has a further visit planned with her employer later this year.
Helen and Megan have also visited the centre, where Megan joined in some of the specialist 'learning through play' sessions that the centre runs and Helen was able to learn a little more about the diverse support that the centre provides to their families.
We would like to be able to provide Dingley with a specialised computer desk that children with physical disabilities can use, and a touchscreen computer specifically designed for children with additional needs. If we raise enough we would also love to be able to donate some toys specifically designed for children with additional needs as well.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. We would appreciate it if you could also please tick the box to hide your donation amount.
We plan to visit Dingley's Promise again later this year, so will be able to send you all photos of the gifts that we will hopefully be able to provide them with :-)
