Story
The show must go on and will go on with your help
In 2015 Candoco Dance Company, the contemporary dance company of disabled and non-disabled artists, is staging Jerome Bel’s world-renowned The Show Must Go On. For this project we are inviting 15 performers to join 6 of our company dancers on some of the UK’s most prestigious stages including Sadler’s Wells, Nottingham Playhouse and Glasgow’s Tramway.
This is an incredible opportunity for our 15 guest artists, some of whom have never performed professionally before. Selected from over 250 applicants, our performers are a diverse group that hail from all over the UK. They include disabled and non-disabled performers, actors, dancers, and singers from a wide-range of backgrounds and age groups.
First performed in 2001,The Show Must Go On has since toured to all corners of the globe and is a world-wide audience favourite, celebrating popular music and the human spirit.
We would love you to be a part of bringing this wonderful show to the UK’s stages. We need to raise £5000 towards the cost of the performers’ pay, accommodation and travel.
You’ll be handsomely rewarded for your support (see below) and you will be able to proudly declare that you helped the show that must go on, go on.
Thank you for support. Please make sure you opt-in to let Just Giving share your contact details with us at Candoco Dance Company so we can thank you for your valuable contribution.
