Our funny, furry, silly flabrador, The Velvet Hippo,  is celebrating her fifth birthday and we wanted to mark it by helping raising some money for charity.  We are therefore running a raffle in aid of LRSE&C with the main prize of a 2-night stay in Widget's Farm Luxury Glamping (with a delicious deli hamper thrown in too).  There is also ten further runner-up prizes of Murphy's Munchies, a homemade tasty treat from Charlie Paws.  

Widget's Farm Glamping is a dog-friendly, luxury cabin nestled in it's own meadow between Bath and Frome.  It has all mod cons including a wet room en-suite, kitchenette, central heating, DVD player and big bouncy double bed.  Outside there are panoramic views, complete seclusion and a securely fenced garden.  There is also a dog-friendly pub within 5 minutes walk and the area is packed with fun things to do for both humans and dogs.  

Our other prizes are thanks to Charlie Paws who have donated ten bag of Murphy's Munchies to the raffle.  These are tasty home made, gluten-free dog biccies made in memory of Murphy, a handsome yellow lab and friend of Widget's Farm.

The 2 night holiday can be taken at any point within 2016, subject to availability, and the Murphy's Munchies will be posted out to winners after Christmas. 

Widget's Farm was keen to support LRSE&C as, since we rescued the hippo through the charity a few years ago, we have been grateful for her wuffs and wags ever since.  And she not only brings joy to us, but as a working behaviour dog, she also helps other nervous dogs with their rehabilitation.  So here's to both the hippo and LRSE&C - lets hope this raffle raises some much needed funds for a wonderful charity!
