Assalamu Alaikum,
“Whosoever digs a well will receive reward for that from Allah on the Day of Judgement when anyone amongst jinn, men and birds drink from it” – Bukhari and Muslim
Extreme drought in parts of Somalia has put a lot of the local people at risk and often these poor folk are forced to travel miles on foot to get access to water. At times they have no choice but to resort to drinking dirty water from lakes and puddles which comes with detrimental health risks.
The cost of building a well costs £2,500 and can drastically improve the lives of many of the local people. Water is vital for our survival so please dig deep into your pockets and donate for this worthy cause!
Building a water well is a form of Sadaqah Jariyah(ongoing charity) because the charity doesn't stop with the building of the well. So Inshallah let us hasten to towards this good deed and may Allah accept your donations and reward you.
Ameen.
