Next summer we have the opportunity of travelling to India with the Lasallian Developing World Projects (LDWP) Outreach Project.

LDWP has been working in developing countries for over 25 years and carry out small sustainable development projects focused on improving education opportunities for those who would otherwise struggle to access education. Our project will last for 3 weeks over the summer and is made up of a group of volunteers mostly from St Joseph’s Catholic College, Swindon.

These projects have proven to be an amazing experience for many who have taken part in them. The wonderful benefits that they have brought to the lives of our brothers and sisters living in the developing world, as well as the tremendous impact to those who have participated as group volunteers.

We will  be working with a local community in Tamil Nadu and staying in simple accommodation within the community. We will be involved with the building work and also get the opportunity to do some teaching in the local school.

The journey to India, the accommodation and a contribution towards the building materials will cost £1250 which each participant has to raise for themselves.
