Story

Dixons Carphone Race to the Stones

Ultra Marathon 16th-17th July 2016

I will be taking on the challenge of 100km on foot along the oldest path in Britain.

The Dixons Carphone Race to the Stones is a fully supported 100km challenge along the iconic Ridgeway. Whether you run it or walk it, complete it in one go or stay overnight in our basecamp, the event is guaranteed to be the challenge of a lifetime.

The Ridgeway, described as Britain’s oldest road, runs from the Chilterns in Oxfordshire to the North Wessex Downs. From the starting line to the finish next to the 5,000-year-old stone circle at Avebury, I will experience some of the UK’s most breath-taking scenery and pass world-famous landmarks.

The money that I raise will be going towards the project of Salamander and Speech and Language for the Swindon Down's Syndrome Group.

Kim West from the Swindon Down's Syndrome Group has set this page up on behalf of Tina McCann, so please donate generously.
