Being a student of the Amos Bursary, every year there is the opportunity to apply for work experience abroad in New York. This year I was 1 of 10 successful applicants to be given this chance! (Praise God!!)

I applied for this opportunity because studies show that 65% of employers find candidates with professional overseas work experience more employable. Having work experience in your field is always a bonus but the uniqueness of this experience being overseas will allow me to have the edge over my competitors. Being provided with this opportunity is therefore one that I definitely cannot pass up.

I intend to be on the job for 3 weeks with the total duration of my stay being close to 4 weeks. Throughout this time I plan to take in as much as possible, developing my soft skills as well as enhancing my professional skills and knowledge of my field.

This is where you come in - I need your help! This was an application and is only successful should I be able to raise money to go towards the flight, accommodation and living costs while I am there.
