Story

March for Mothers is a sponsored 5km walk to raise awareness and funds to ensure mothers in the world’s poorest communities receive the essential healthcare they deserve.

800 women die every day from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth. News of a pregnancy should be a time of joy and celebration, but for women in poor countries it is often a time of fear. The money raised through this walk can help Health Poverty Action improve access to health services, through mobile clinics and constructed birth waiting homes, whilst training birth attendants in life saving emergency childbirth care. For every £1 raised, 96p goes directly to HPA programs, ensuring that the resources go to those who need it.

The event will be taking place on .....

Please fundraise £10 and donate it to this page prior to the 'March'
