We work with local communities to improve the quality of life

Story

In July 2014 17 people closely associated with Waverley school and Cedar House will be journeying to Jinja in Uganda to work with Soft Power Education’s Special Needs Project.

Whilst in we will be teaching alongside the staff in 2 education centres, taking part in outreach and creating resources and equipment.

In order to spend two weeks with the project we need to raise as much as possible as the flights alone have cost £830.00 each. Although we will be paying for living costs independently we are aiming to raise enough money to cover the costs of our flights as well as resources to take with us and the charity costs.

In order to raise these funds we are working as a team to walk the 26 miles from Bishops Stortford to Waverley School on May 17th

We have been selling bacon and sausage baps at school and a number of fundraising events and evenings are organised.
